Counterfeit Deliverance Warning

Satan cant cast out Satan but he can pretend to. He can remove his power as he does with false healings to make it look genuine.

Luke 11:15  But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils. Luk 11:16  And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven. Luke 11:17  But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth. Luke 11:18  If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub. Luke 11:19  And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. Luke 11:20  But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

So how do you know if a demon has or hasn’t been cast out?

No difference = no deliverance, but the reverse is not necessarily true. Just because you notice a change doesn’t mean you are free as the demons can back off for a time.

The answer is similar to how do you test that a demon is there in the first place.
You command, a few times if need be, that if the demon is there that it reveal itself.

Discrediting the Genuine because of the False. Don’t throw the Baby out with the bathwater

Because the Vagabond Jews had a bad experience with Deliverance does this mean we command the Disciples of Jesus not to do Deliverance at all?

Acts 19:11  And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: Acts 19:12  So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. Acts 19:13  Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. Acts 19:14  And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. Acts 19:15  And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? Acts 19:16  And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Or because they are not in our church, do we forbid them?

Mark 9:38  And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. Mark 9:39  But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. Mark 9:40  For he that is not against us is on our part.
